The biggest action sports event in the Southern Hemisphere - the AUS-X Open just took place in Sydney at the Qudos Bank Arena last weekend. It showcased some of the biggest names in supercross and FMX including ilabb’s Levi Sherwood who came in 3rd in the FMX division.

Big internationals, the likes of Chad Reed and Ryan Villopoto, battled it out for the supercross title while our man Levi Sherwood competed against the world’s best like Tom Pages, Jackson Strong, Tom Robinson and Clinton Moore for the Best Trick contest.

The Best Whip contest saw some tight competition but the most entertaining was definitely the battle between Levi and Tom Pages. Levi was edged out of the top spot by the slimmest of margins but still stashed 2nd place easy! Check out the whip highlights here:

The overall best trick competition was the highlight of the event with an incredible of international riders showing off their best, and sometimes impossible, tricks. Cliffhangers, superman tail grabs, rock solid backflips and huge whips were just some of the aerial acrobatics on show.

Levi threw it down with some major sets to take out 3rd place overall, only just beaten by Tom Pages and Clinton Moore. Check out the best Trick highlights here:

Turns out Kiwi’s really can fly. Make sure you catch Levi at Palmy North Big Boys Toys this weekend to see him throw it down in the flesh yeeow!
