Team UR shred the epic Mont Sainte-Anne
Tracey Hannah and Team UR battle the notorious Mont Sainte-Anne (MSA) AKA 'The Big One' in the latest DH world cup stop. With uncharacteristically dry track conditions the ilabbfamily riders ripped through the dust in qualifying with Tracey Hannah taking the 2nd fastest time of the day and all of the boys finding their way through to the finals.
As the women’s finals taking place first, Tracey Hannah looked her usual self as she flew down the trail eager to chase down fellow competitor Myriam Cole and take back her number 1 spot. However, it seemed it wasn’t meant to be with her back tire losing air, costing Hannah valuable time. Although still coming in 3rd place with a flat tire really shows Hannah’s determination and skill yeeow!
Kenta Gallagher was one of the lucky men who managed to get his run in before the skies opened up releasing a massive down pour of rain as the last 30 competitors looked to make their final runs. Gallagher continues to look confident on his bike finishing in 32nd overall his best result of the season.
Mick and Alex weren’t so lucky having to ride in the middle of the down pour as track conditions and visibility deteriorated. Both riders managed to make it down in one piece with Alex finishing in 42nd holding his overall 11th spot in the rankings and only 6 points behind 10th.
Only five points between UR and the top spot in the team rankings we can’t wait to see the team throw down at Crankworx Whistler as they chase the top spot. Lets goooo!!
