The ilabbfam shred the final round of 2017 D1NZ

2 years ago No comments

The 2016/17 season of Demon Energy D1NZ came to an end over the weekend at South Aucklands Pukekohe Park, after some epic drifting and few upsets Cole Armstrong emerged the overall championship winner.

ilabbfamily members Darren Kelly and Brad Smith made sure they left everything they had out on the track for the last round. Darren Kelly, qualifying 6th led Joe Marshall into his top 16 battle and into turn one, the Nissan Skyline GT-R powered away from Marshall. However, perhaps one of the biggest upsets of the weekend started as Kelly straight lined turn one, snapping wildly into turn two and went straight over the grass.

This was the end of the weekend for Darren but the highest of fives to the speed demon who took home the Mimico fastest entry competition for clocking 205kph!

Check out this epic video edit from the DK Team at Pukekohe below, and stay tuned on the EDIT and Darren’s social as they get ready to make some mega announcements around new plans for the car yeeeow!
