2017 Crankworx Rotorua : ilabbfam on the podium

2 years ago No comments

The ilabbfamily absolutely ripped over the last week at the Rotorua leg of Crankworx. Highest of fives to everyone that competed and for all those that got on the podium!

New Zealand weather was out in force with some rain dampening the track and making it slippery for some of the downhill racers. The ever changing condition of the track made sure everyone was kept on their toes.

Highlights from the week included Tracey Hannah taking out the women’s Downhill even after spraining her ankle in practice, and then sharing the podium with her brother Mick Hannah who snatched second place in the men’s downhill.

Big high fives to Brook Macdonald who after a mega crash still managed to get down the track in one piece, finishing up 24 th at the end and is already amping for the next round. A big shout out also goes to Matt Jones as he unfortunately broke his wrist in practice before the Slopestyle event, we wish him a mega speedy recovery and hope he's back upside down in no time!
